The 2020 Blueprint

Adjustments.jpeg

We are officially 15 days away from a new decade! (But hey, whose counting). I believe that we are entering into a very exciting time in our generation, and for many, dreams will be realized, and put into action.

To get to the place God is calling us, it’s important that we put our faith into action, and that we work hard towards the things God has given us to do. Some would say that you have to get out there and hustle, to make your dreams a reality.

Let me clear up this definition real quick. I’m not referring to the type of hustle, where you’re illegally getting money by any means necessary, or doing anything unethical. One of the meanings of hustle is defined this way...

[to proceed or work rapidly or energetically]

Before we head into a new year full of new goals, new dreams, new vision, and new projects, it’s important that we understand something first.

I’ve told you guys numerous times before, that until recently, I had no sort of dreams for my life. When I gave my life to God, I knew that He was leading me somewhere, I just had no idea where. It wasn’t until 2018, that God began to reveal some of the things that He wanted to do in my life. One of those things was this blog. The different ideas for this blog, were revealed through prayer, and my personal time spent with God.

Being a hard worker is a great character trait to possess, but if all we’re doing is busy work, but have no prayer life, we still can’t walk into the fullness of where God wants us to go. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to just be “busy”, I want my work to have purpose, and be fruitful!

We may all be at different stages with our outlook, mindset, and even our plans for the upcoming year. For some, you may be at a place where you have no clue what God is calling you to do, but you’re still seeking, and praying for answers. For others, God has given you vision for the future, but you have no clue what path to take to get there. Some of you, know what God is calling you to do for this next season of your life. You have the blueprint of how to get it accomplished, and you’re in the building phase of making it a reality.

No matter where you are in the process, the truth of the matter is this,

WE MUst All allow God to Guide our footsTeps.

God created you, and everything that He is calling you to do, He has already equipped you to be able to do it. He knows what’s really on the inside of you. He knows the right timing that everything should happen. He knows the right people you need to connect with. He knows exactly where the resources, and finances will come from. He has the ideas, the connections, and EVERY answer that you need! He has every solution, to every problem.

So we can’t even attempt to do anything apart from Him. So while we’re getting things in order, brainstorming new ideas, and working on new projects, let’s remember that it is God that gives us the blueprint to our future. It is also God that gives us wisdom and clarity.

We can’t ONLY pray, without doing the work, and we can’t ONLY focus on the grind, without seeking God each step of the way. So hustle! Work hard, and work diligently to accomplish your dreams! Keep God first in all that you do. You do the work, and watch God do the impossible.

Today’s Prayer
Father God, I thank you for who you are. Thank you for all that you have brought me through this year. Lord as we prepare to enter into a new year, I pray that you will continue to lead and guide my footsteps. Help me to stay at your feet, knowing that all my help comes from you. May I keep you first, so that I may walk into the fullness of all you would have for me to do on this earth. Give me strategy, ideas, wisdom, and everything that I need to fulfill the calling that is upon my life. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Today’s Reading: Colossians‬ ‭3:23-24‬; Luke‬ ‭10:38-42‬ ‭‬‬

Colossians‬ ‭3:23-24‬ ‭(NLT)‬‬ “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.”

Luke‬ ‭10:38-42‬ ‭(NLT)‬‬ “As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing.

She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”
